The Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino opened on June 25, 2003 - a historic and proud day for the Chukchansi people. The Golden Chain Highway
Travel back to the days of the 49'er Miners when you begin your adventure through California's gold country. The southern entrance of the Golden Chain Highway, also known as Highway 49, begins just nine miles north of Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino, in Oakhurst, and winds its way through 289 miles of forested foothills and majestic mountains. You'll delight in the historic charm of towns like Mariposa, Sonora, Jamestown and Jackson.

Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad & Thornberry Museum
Ride "The Logger" as it steams through the beautiful Sierras. For 40 years thousands of kids of all ages have enjoyed the ride, the beauty and excitement. California State Mining & Mineral Museum
