Positive Messages...

octavio espinoza golden voiceOctavio believes that no matter what comes your way you must be optimistic, positive, and trusting in God. No matter what you are going through in your life, keep walking towards your goals, because he says that great opportunities are hiding behind great problems, you must never lose hope! Sing and smile, or face life without music. Regardless of what crowd may be around you - negative or positive, optimistic or pessimistic, don't change. Be positive and you can make a difference with your attitude. It can make a difference to a single person or more. Tell that person you love him or her, and care. Love and live for someone, no matter who that person is - your life has a purpose. Live and make your mark while there is a shadow to follow you under the sun.  Love and  be loved. Share the love, whether to a single person or  a  multitude.

He always says that knowledge is an asset and there is nothing too difficult or impossible to be achieved or accomplished. Octavio often says 'Do everything for love and with love so it can be worth it'.

A Story of Survival and Success...

Octavio came to this country in 1978 as a 14-year-old boy. For over six months, without any family nearby, he was homeless and lived in a cardboard box in the streets of San Jose. He held onto his old guitar and his one and only friend, Cocoloco, a little, dirty red-haired stray poodle dog. During those hard times Octavio really found a friend just like him - lost, dirty, and alone. By holding and hanging onto his dog, Octavio went through the cold winter of 1979.  He remembers that one sad Sunday morning, his beloved dog friend was killed by a car when they were crossing the street. It was a drunk driver that didn't stop at a red light. This was one of the worst days of Octavio's life when he lost his only true friend Cocoloco.

Soon after Octavio survived by washing cars and mowing lawns. Fighting to survive as an stranger in this land and faithfully holding on to the hope that some day things were going to to be different, a change suddenly came to his life. Thanks to God and his blessings that made it all possible, Octavio started working at the onion fields on the North side of San Jose. He also began singing on the weekends with the local church choir in downtown Alviso, for family celebrations and gatherings.

Alviso is a little town north of San Jose, where Octavio  lived for 2 years. He made a lot of friends and started singing. He had been accepted by the people for his talent and charm. In 1980, he started working at the Department of Fish and Wildlife of the Bay Area where he traded conversations with his boss Mr. Piers Adey, learning English and teaching Spanish to his boss. They exchanged words in both languages for better communication. After working for a year at this department Octavio left the U.S. to visit his family in Mexico and then came back to the U.S. to continue his journey towards the goals he had set forth for the future to help his family and his younger brothers and sisters in need.

Octavio worked for 2 years in various Bay Area restaurants as a waiter and entertainer, and developed his singing skills. In 1982 he began working for a pool company.

In December 7, 1987 he married a beautiful Mexican woman from Michoacan and God blessed them with two beautiful children, Lily and Alex. They bought a house in Newark, California and since 1985 have lived at the same residence happily ever after.

Octavio sings in many festivals and also at infoBayArea.com business networking mixers hosted by Cesar Plata, a local visionary champion. Come meet Octavio at any of these events and more...
