The
Elegant Era (the show where everyone dances)
Sat. Aug. 2, 6pm
San Jose
Center for Performing Arts
255 Almaden Blvd, San Jose, CA 95113
Put on your Tuxedos, your flashy Gowns and your dancing shoes. This dress to
impress event is leading our community to the elegance the world is craving for.
Our youth and our seniors will begin the evening with presentations
from Adrian Flores with "Building Respect Through Dance," Chief of
Police Rob Davis on using dance to create safe neighborhoods, and our Vice Mayor
Dave Cortese on the vision of San Jose, and then we go to the professional show.
Virginia
Iglesias and her Flamenco Troop will lead the procession of professional dancers
from the International Ballroom, the Salsa Congress, the Swing world and the
Argentine Tango world.
Dance lessons at 6pm in the lobby will prepare the audience
for a full participation finale number that starts the general dancing to live
music.
Tickets are $20 and will help keep lessons free during the
year to our citizens. Adrian Flores' classes are currently being offered every
Saturday, between 1pm and 3pm at the National Hispanic University. 14271 Story
Rd. San Jose 95127.
