The Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley’s signature program, the Hispanic Charity Ball, has a grand 18 year tradition. Conceived as a way to increase awareness about issues affecting the Latino community and celebrate giving and volunteering within it, the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley continues to present this one-of-a-kind gala event which brings together hundreds of leaders from business, the public sector and philanthropy to recognize and celebrate philanthropic giving within our community.

Latinos in Silicon Valley represent a greater share of the total population than in the nation (24% vs 15%). Silicon Valley Latinos have higher household incomes than Latinos nationwide; in Santa Clara County alone, the mean household income for Latinos is $67,975, compared with $47,340 nationally. And educational attainment for Latinos is higher in the region than for the nation; thirty-six percent of Latinos over 25 have attained some form of education beyond high school, compared to 32 percent for the nation. Our Foundation taps into this promise and brings together these leaders to invest in the success of our community.
