Moonlight Escape, "Full Red Moon", Monday, Aug 23, 2010, 5:50 pm Share the magic of the Napa Valley in June as the sun sets at 7:52 pm. This moon is named the 'Full Red Moon' because as the moon rises it can appear reddish through a hot, sultry haze. Our Moonlight Escape gourmet dinner takes place upstairs in the Vista Dome rail car with its almost 180-degree view. Guests glide over the evening vineyards touched with the silver light of the rising moon. This is a five-course dinner, including a glass of sparkling wine, and two glasses of our private label. Park in Napa and let the Wine Train be your designated driver to the St. Helena CHEERS! community social. We are running a special train, with round trip transportation service between Napa, Yountville, and St. Helena for this event. CHEERS! is a community social event held in St. Helena on the first Friday of every month from May to October, from 6 pm to 9 pm. Entrance is free, shops are open, and Napa Valley Wines will be poured for the tasting. The goal of CHEERS! is to celebrate friendship, meet new friends, toast the beauty of St. Helena, and experience some of the magnificent food and wine the Napa Valley has to offer.

Vintners Lunch – Ramian Estate, Friday, Sep 17, 2010, 10:50 am
Winemaker Brian Graham crafts the collective story of his vineyards -one chapter at a time. Formally educated about eonology and wine-making at the University of Bordeaux, Brian also worked and was mentored at Chateau Roquefort. He went on to further his studies at the Wine and Spirits Educational Trust in London, after which time he worked for a boutique winery in Burgundy named Domaine Serrigny - Jean-Pierre & Fils in Savigny-Les-Beaune. These two experiences gave him the foundation for creating balanced, terroir-driven wines.
