This position is designed to provide a Member Relationship Manager for each
member in order to establish, maintain and add depth to our member relationships.
Summary:
Responsible to assess and determine member’s needs, and sell the appropriate
products and/or services to meet these needs. Open accounts for new members to
generate a portfolio. Manage this portfolio of members, calling these members
to add value to their relationship, both for the member and for the Credit Union.
Take and process loan applications, communicating with the member throughout
the loan process, and finalizing the loan with the member.
This position is the point of contact for the member and is essentially the
face of the Credit Union, thus professionalism, service levels and productivity
are of utmost importance.
Employee efforts will be measured by sales objectives, accounts per account
based on portfolio, member service levels, and compliance with laws and regulations.
Employees will immediately be entered into the incentive program.
Essential Duties:
• Manage a portfolio of members in order to increase their relationship
with the Credit Union within the first 3 months of opening their account.
• Contact
members in the portfolio to pro-actively cross sell additional accounts and services
including checking accounts, consumer loans, Real Estate loans, IRA’s,
insurance products, electronic services, and investment services. (Contact methods
include phone, e-mail, written correspondence, and face to face.)

Provide superior service following the Credit Union’s “Service
Standards Pledge”.
•
Meet or exceed established goals.
•
Take loan applications in person, over the phone,
through the mail, by fax, and via the Credit Union’s Web site.
•
Processes
approved loans from application to funding, explaining loan terms and counseling
members when disbursing funds.
•
Open new accounts (savings, checking, money market,
IRA’s, minor, etc.),
process all additional steps to compliment account openings, (i.e. Check ordering,
debit card ordering, etc) and take ownership of questions and issues related
to these accounts. Build stronger member relationships by encouraging the use
of all other Credit Union products and services whenever possible.

Review the
credit report pulled at each new account opening and/or loan application to pursue
all opportunities and educate our members.
•
Perform credit score enhancement counseling
for members.
•
Be able to handle issues and questions from members regarding their
loans.
•
Complete a variety of forms, reports, and other materials which requires
an understanding of specific departmental terminology and procedures for completing
loan documents; processing loan forms and files; maintaining loan files; inputting
data using a personal computer; disbursing checks to members; and preparing extension
agreements for approval by the appropriate personnel.
•
Have a thorough knowledge
of documents and forms required for taking deposits, opening new accounts.
• Responsible
for all documentation accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain a general knowledge
of all Credit Union products and services in order to provide members with opportunities
to increase their wealth.
•
Stay current with all consumer protection laws and regulations
pertaining to consumer lending and all disclosure requirements of Truth in Savings,
Reg CC, Reg E, Reg DD, the Bank Secrecy Act, and all other Federal, State, Local
laws and regulations, as well as all Alliance Credit Union policies and procedures.
•
Have
a familiar knowledge of Real Estate products such as Equity Loans and know when
to refer members to the Mortgage Department.
•
Prepare progress reports.
•
Assist and provide support at sales and member education
events.
•
Assist in the training of new employees, and participate in ongoing cross
training of existing employees.
•
Balance daily check deposits.
•
Performs other duties as assigned.
