HVAC MECHANIC
Facilities Management Unit
DUTIES:
To maintain, install, inspect, repair and troubleshoot air conditioning,
heating and refrigeration equipment including pumps, evaporators,
chillers, boilers and other related equipment found in office buildings
and in water treatment plants; and to perform a variety of technical
tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Five years of light industrial and commercial HVAC maintenance and
repair work experience and Training: Equivalent to the completion of the
twelfth grade supplemented by specialized training in HVAC repair or a
related field.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
Possession at time of appointment and maintenance
of a valid Environmental Protection Agency Universal Refrigerant card. Possession
of a valid California driver’s license is required. Prior to
appointment, candidates will be required to successfully complete a
medical examination.
SALARY:
$5,836.13 - $7,111.87 per month—Based on a five-step salary
plan
Includes District payment of 8% PERS—Public Employees’ Retirement
System
