Treasury/Debt Finance Officer
General Accounting Unit
DUTIES:
Under direction, to manage the District’s investment portfolio by
scheduling cash flows and investing surplus funds; ensuring adequate
funds for District expenses, establishing staff investment guidelines
for adoption as the District’s Investment Policy, preparing treasury
quarterly investment reports; conduct quarterly investment committee
meetings; manage and administer banking services and perform a variety
of professional tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility; to
plan, organize and direct the work of subordinate staff; and to do other
work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Five years of increasingly responsible accounting or financial
management experience involving responsibility in treasury management
and/or debt-finance management and Training: Equivalent to a Bachelor’s
degree from an accredited college or university with major course work
in accounting, economics, finance, or a related field. Directly related
experience may be substituted for the college requirement on the basis
of one and one-half years of experience for one year of education to a
maximum of four years.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California
driver’s license may be required with determinations made on a case by
case basis. Prior to appointment, candidates will be required to
successfully complete a medical examination.
SALARY:
$8,122.40 - $9,897.33 per month - Based on a five-step salary plan
Includes District payment of 8% PERS - Public Employees’ Retirement
System
