Benefits Administration Unit
DUTIES:
To perform a variety of complex technical and administrative personnel
support functions including, but not limited to, PeopleSoft payroll
calculations and processing, report generation and query writing,
processing of human resources employee changes, and
tracking/monitoring/entering of employee annual/mid-year reviews and
work plans; benefits administration including conducting new hire
orientations, exit interviews, employee file maintenance, benefits cost
analysis, and employee assistance; oversees maintenance of Benefits
intranet site, benefits handbook, and assists with annual insurance open
enrollment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Two years of increasingly responsible personnel
administration experience equivalent to the Human Resources Technician I
level (or a total of four years of experience) and Training: Equivalent
to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by college level
course work in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California
driver’s license may be required with determinations made on a case by
case basis. Prior to appointment, candidates will be required to
successfully complete a medical examination.
SALARY:
$5,068.27 – $6,174.13 per month—Based on a five-step salary plan
Includes PERS (Public Employees’ Retirement System) Member Contribution
of 7.407%
