Office of the Clerk of the Board
DUTIES:
To assist the Clerk of the Board in providing highly responsible and complex
and technical administrative, secretarial and clerical duties in support of the
District’s elected and appointed Board of Directors and associated committees
and commissions; to review, prepare, coordinate, finalize, assemble and distribute
agendas and accompanying materials to Board of Directors, associated committees,
members of the public and District staff; to take notes and transcribe audio
tapes and distribute minutes of meetings; to review documents for completeness,
accuracy, format and compliance with policies and procedures; to accurately maintain
filing systems; to provide information and assistance to the public regarding
District policies and procedures; and to perform related work as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Four years of increasingly responsible secretarial or administrative
support experience including one year of experience providing office and secretarial
support for an elected board and Training: Equivalent to the completion of the
twelfth grade supplemented by specialized training in administrative or secretarial
work or a related field.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
A net typing speed of 50 net wpm is required and an original typing certificate
along with the corresponding original typing test must be submitted with the
application documents (typing test must have been taken within the past 30 days
from one of the following testing agencies). To make an appointment for a typing

is required. Prior to appointment, candidates must successfully pass a medical

SALARY:
$4,823.87 - $5,876.00 per month—Based on a five-step salary plan
Includes PERS (Public Employees’ Retirement System) Member Contribution
of 7.407%

SELECTION PROCESS:
1. The District Employment Application, Supplemental Questions, and any other
required documents (resume recommended) will be evaluated for minimum qualifications.
2. Candidates meeting the minimum qualifications will proceed to an application
package appraisal assessment. The assessment score will be weighted 100% in determining
the candidate’s ranking on the qualified list.
3. Candidates who best match the requirements of the position will be invited
to interview, which may include a performance and/or written exercise.
NOTE: A qualified list may result from this examination process and may be
used to fill future vacancies. Position and start date is subject to availability
of funds. The District retains the right to repost this position as deemed necessary.
