Mechanical Engineer (2)

We are looking for two highly motivated, and results oriented mechanical engineers capable of taking concepts from design to prototype to full production in a fast paced, creative thinking environment.

Responsibilities:
Design, development and implementation of high volume manufacturing systems.
Work closely with senior mechanical engineering team in manufacturing operations
Work with contract manufacturers to develop automated manufacturing methods to support high volume production and to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
Coordinate and build integrated electrical and mechanical prototypes with an ability and willingness to work hands-on.

Qualifications:
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) and 4+ years related experience.
Solid knowledge of Injection molded parts (e.g., RIM), polymeric materials, molding production process, and mold design.
SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD design experience.
Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiments.
Ability to influence others using supportive data.
Must be a dynamic team player, used to working with a small technical group and have excellent communication, product technology, and project management skills.
Experience in the following areas:
Embedding electronics in high volume, small form factor plastics is a must.
Specification and/or design of high volume manufacturing equipment.
Product Development Engineering
Hot and cold lamination technologies.
Experience working with electrical engineers, manufacturing operations and contract manufacturers for sub-assembly and system integration.
Interfacing with outside vendors, consultants, & driving external design resources.
High volume design & manufacturing (?1M units a month) using overseas contract manufacturers.
Knowledge of polymer chemistry desired.
Design of with small form factor medical products desired.
