Technical Project Manager
The Project Manager is responsible for managing the client relationship once
a sale has been completed, including the delivery functions, solutions development
and client satisfaction. The Project Manager role is measured primarily on client
satisfaction, providing overall management to the COMPANY delivery team. The
delivery function of the role is day-to-day management of individual projects.
Project Managers ensure that the project scope is defined, create and manage
the project plan, provide direction to all members of the team and manage client
expectations. The Project Manager is expected to be an individual contributor
and billable on active client engagements.
The company is a division of a larger company from the U.K. but the job is located
in Pleasanton, CA.
JOB DUTIES:
Account Management:
• Develop and manage client relationships and satisfaction
• Develop relationships at the executive level
• On time delivery for products or services projects
• Identify and manage scope changes
• Customer Satisfaction
• Manage contract, invoicing and timely payment of invoices
Solutions Management:
• Work with customers and COMPANY resources to develop creative solutions
to solve the business problems of customers
• Keep up-to-date on the latest relevant technologies,
especially those relating to COMPANY products
• Assist sales and business development staff in pre-sales
activities such as defining solutions, crafting proposals and presenting solutions
to customers
TECHNICAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to manage risks, priorities and expectations in a fast-paced
environment
• Superior technical and business problem-solving skills
and judgment
• Eager and able to learn the latest technical skills
• Ability to balance the requirements of satisfying customers
and meeting profit targets
• Demonstrated success though a history of achievement
and continual expansion of responsibilities
• Takes responsibility for his/her actions
• Proven leadership skills
• Excellent oral, written and listening skills
• Experience in leading full life-cycle product implementation
projects
• Experience in delivery and/or selling IT solutions for
a consulting or software product organization
EDUCATION:
• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics required
• MBA or Masters degree in a technical field a plus
