Tequila Clase Azul ULTRA is an Extra Añejo Tequila produced in the Arandas Region of Jalisco. Only 100 bottles will be produced and available (value $1800+) in Mexico and the U.S. markets. This limited production Tequila represents a collaboration of excellence in producing the 'Best of the Best' of Mexico: the best Tequila presented in a stunning, hand-crafted decanter. According to Mr. Arturo Lomeli, the Award winning Master Distiller of Clase Azul Reposado® and La Pinta Pomegranate Infused Tequila®, there are five elements that make Tequila ULTRA so exceptional:
1. Hand-selection of the highest quality Weber Blue Agaves that are aged to perfection for 9 years
2. Slow cooking of the Agave Piñas for approx. 48 hours in brick ovens
3. Fermentation with a special, proprietary yeast strain created specifically for ULTRA
4. A keen, watchful eye over each step in the distillation process; and a generous trimming of the 'heads and tails' of the distillate to ensure the highest quality Tequila
5. Using only the highest quality, hand-selected sherry wood casks to produce exceptional taste, perfect balance and robust body. The care taken in producing Clase Azul ULTRA reveals itself in a sublime tasting experience. Clase Azul ULTRA gives us exquisite complexity in its aromas, while tantalizing the palate with its robust body and rich flavors.

Tequila Clase Azul is an Ultra Premium, 100% Weber Blue Agave, Reposado Tequila. Clase Azul is the perfect marriage between the finest Tequila and a beautifully hand-crafted, hand-painted Talavera  carafe. It is produced and bottled in the Jesus Maria region of Arandas, Jalisco, MX from 100 % Tequilana Weber Agave. Clase Azul is aged for a minimum of 8 months in small oak barrels.  We are using a blend of Bourbon, Cognac and Sherry casks in the aging process. This aging time  and the use of these different barrels differentiates Clase Azul and gives it an award winning  taste profile. Casa Herradura, founded in 1870, is one of the oldest and most respected producers of tequila. Produced in the heart of Mexico's tequila region, in Amatitan, Jalisco, Tequila Herradura is 100% blue agave tequila carefully crafted using traditional methods. The result is a tequila with a wonderfully smooth agave flavor of uncompromising quality. Casa Herradura is proud to have been named 2007 Distiller of the Year by Wine Enthusiast Magazine, the first tequila distiller to win this prestigious award.

Herradura Silver is aged for 45 days in white oak barrels. This bright tequila is magnificent from bottle to glass to palate, absolutely perfect for cocktails. Herradura Reposado has a complex aroma of oak, cinnamon, spice and vanilla, a smooth taste, and is aged for 11 months in oak barrels.

Seleccion Suprema, the first Extra Añejo Tequila in Mexico, has a complex, balanced taste of cooked agave, rich vanilla, toasted oak and dried fruits, and is aged for 4 years 1 month in new oak barrels (bottle costs over $300!)

Tequila El Jimador as part of the Casa Herradura portfolio, has been the best seller in Mexico since 1995. Jimador Añejo, 100% Agave Azul Tequilana Weber, has a smooth taste with sweet cooked agave notes of wood, vanilla, brown spice and nuts, and is aged for 1 year in white oak barrels. b-f.com
